Hi im new to the forums, but recently ive up'd my game in LoL.. team mates started suggesting i make guides and stream my gameplay. I have done so. I am currently in a low elo bracket. I just wanted to know when season 3 starts, and does my elo reset after next season. I find the manor in which elo is handled confusing. Its difficult for good players to get out of elo hell with a bad team or just that 1 feeder. Does anyone have a date? Thanks

Hi Summoner and welcome to the forums!!! Yes, your ELO does reset once season 3 kicks off, but we do not have any specific dates for the start of Season 3.

S1 was 60 weeks and 60 weeks from August (It was August S2 started rite?) is November 2012 (wild guess)

The first 10 games should not up/down your elo by a schezamming 50 points; just 10, like the games you play after the 'placement matches.

in my first ranked games which i did lose by the way, the ammount of lost elo was wayyy too much.. like 62 63 elo each time...
this took me from "hero" to "zero" in the blink of an eye.. i think think this should be changed...

Season 3 will probably end sometime after summer.

oh now im back in elohell when seson 3 starts.

can you not instedt of reset it just like "half it" so if you have 1800 elo you will have 1400 and if you have 800 you will have 900 ? because reset it will make it toally confusing with all the pro + 1500 elo be at same elo as 1300 and 1000 eloes. thats not fair i think ^^


well how can it be better. i think it should be more based on how you are doing it that how your team is doing it. i mean you can lose cause of your team and you can get carryed cause of it. basicly its alot luck if you are high or low elo ^^

bibbibob2 i know how you feel... :') Only going to play Pre-Made / Duo Que next season...unless the elo system is improved :P

looking forward to next season, going for plat next time (or atleast almost plat), been laying in the 1400s for 15 games or more now, just had a(nother) break from ranked for some weeks and feel it is about time to get that gold badge so far 3/3/22 taric and 0/1/10 janna (both won), hope i'll have more time for LoL soon (currently only 1-2 hours, should soon get 3-4 hours daily), so i got more time to become better

Edit: no "easy jump" to higher Elo on Fotm's, Orianna, swain, TF, Gragas n Sion for mid, No support Soraka (hate that champion, can't play so passive), no graves/varus (real truth is lack of IP ), no lee, shaco(no longer FotM, but w/e) or Mundo (but gonna keep my skarner, shyvana and Malphite for safe picks), and no top lane for me, since i s*ck with every toplane champion i got (mainly because i'm Creep Kill greedy as hell, get myself killed on most melees xD)

Gl & Hf with the rest of the season and the next, let's all become better players and see each others in 2k elo (okay... maybe not that high but good luck anyways)
